| Our primary business consists of producing and selling round wood fencing materials along with other specialty items such as deck railing and furniture stock. We manufacture these various products on site using Lodgepole Pine trees that are harvested from the surrounding area. Care is taken from start to finish to best utilize our raw materials and to provide a quality product for our customers. All of our products have a smooth finish, are free of bark and uniform in size. For the products that need to be protected against decay, we use 100% oxide pure Osmose brand CCA in a pressure treating process. This treating process provides our customers with a product that will give them a long service life and is safe to your health and the environment when handled according to EPA approved handling methods described in the Consumer Safety Information Sheet. |

WOOD PRESERVING PROCESS The treating process at Marks-Miller Post & Pole, Inc. is monitored closely so that we can provide the best product possible to our customers in an environmentally and health conscious manner. While the safety of our employees, customers and the environment is our first priority, it is also important that we provide our customers with a high quality durable product. Treating is accomplished in an enclosed, heated containment facility that conforms to all State and Federal regulations. Dry wood is placed in a metal cylinder, sealed shut and then run through a series of vacuum and pressure cycles. The wood preserving chemicals are ultimately pushed deep into the wood to provide a product that conforms to American Wood Preservers Association guide lines. The treated wood is then removed from the cylinder and placed in a contained, impervious heated area called a drip pad until fixation occurs. Fixation is a complex series of chemical reactions when the preservative becomes locked to the wood fibers in a highly insoluble state. With completion of this process, our customers are assured of a product that is durable, safe to handle and will not harm the environment. (See Consumer Safety Information Sheet.pdf) close window |

MONTHLY SALE ITEMS
Each month we will be featuring sale items. For the most part these will be overstocked products. Quite often this is material that is perceived to be smaller in diameter than people think will work for them, when in reality it will be adequate for the job and be less expensive than larger materials. If you have questions about any of the products you see here, feel free to contact us. |
